History

Simpson Joinery is a long established family run firm which cares about the environment, works with natural materials, using both cutting edge technology and age old craftsmanship. We employ like minded people who stay with us for years or even decades, as well as training the next generation of enthusiastic joiners.

Simpson Joinery was established in 1976 by Tony Simpson as a traditionally trained joiner. He was born in Stedham and has lived his life 2 miles down the road in Midhurst, where we are still based today. Tony was a director of the company until 2018 and is now enjoying part time retirement.

Following in his father's footsteps, Peter Simpson trained as a joiner in Chichester before joining the family firm in 2002 to learn every aspect of the job.
He became a director in 2015 when the company became Simpson Joinery and is the sole director today.
